Listen to “Where are you going?” podcast

This episode is part of the Presence project: Presence: Fixing culture starts with your calendar, not your office

Catherine Carr runs a wonderful podcast called Where are you going? It was described as the ‘best podcast of the year’.

In each mini episode Catherine asks one or two strangers that question.

But there’s a magic afoot because two people lost in the presence of each other soon finds discussion going to deep and intimate places.

She’s heard about parental rituals, people falling in and out love, hopeful souls heading to interviews.

The secret is what Charles Duhig described in our episode about Super Communicators, we expect intimate conversations to be embarrassing. In fact they are immensely satisfying.

We all carry a desire to be seen, to be understood. When someone seeks to understand this, when we reach a flow of connection, it is richly rewarding.
